The Impluvium Space in the Milan Triennale hosted the award ceremony for the top three in each of the five categories.
The ceremony was introduced by Chiara Medioli, marketing manager at Fedrigoni Cartiere, while the awards were presented by the managing director Claudio Alfonsi to the winners, who were announced by the members of the jury (all leading exponents of design at world level). This award is attributed to all the people who contribute to the application process, from the person who suggests the choice of papers (the Fedrigoni promoter or agent), via those who choose the supports and take care of the design work (the graphic design studio or advertising agency) to the ones who actually produce the application (the printer and/or transformer), without of course forgetting the client firm.
While representatives of leading Italian and European producers took their turn to come up on stage one after another, one of the award winners came from as far away as India.
The evening ended with tasteful refreshments full of unexpected flavours and combinations, matching the original flavours and combinations of the prize-winners and the other designs in the exhibition.
The next edition of the Award will be in 2010.
