Fedrigoni and international style and design publication Wallpaper*, have teamed up for the second time running on the award-winning Custom Covers project, for the Handmade Issue. The August 2012 issue of Wallpaper* features 30 unique covers created by several top name designers including Quentin Jones, Tom Hingston and Rob Ryan. The custom covers were each printed on Fedrigoni Stucco Old Mill 280g/m, a subtle felt marked paper with a lightly treated surface. The unique Stucco surface treatment lifts the rich colour of each image on the Handmade issues.
Arcoprint Milk, Fedrigoni’s hot paper of the moment was used for the ‘sketchbook’, a special insert which features initial sketches by leading designers. Arcoprint Milk offers a pleasingly toothy thickness in an unmistakable milky white colour providing the perfect look and feel for a sketchbook.
This special issue will also exclusively present all the handcrafted pieces commissioned for the magazine’s Handmade exhibition, which took place at the Brioni Palazzo in Milan during Salone del Mobile in April 2012. Highlights from the exhibition included; ‘Convertibles’, folded paper objects by Irma Boom, and ‘Sew your own’ stationery by Michael Nash+Sion, both produced using Fedrigoni stocks, as for the party’s invitation.
