A.E.O.F. status is the most important of the three voluntary forms of certification for which provision is made by European Union customs authorities
Fedrigoni Cartiere has achieved the status of Authorised Economic Operator of the Full type (A.E.O.F.), as defined in European Regulations N° 2454/93/EEC, N° 648/2005/EC and N° 1875/2006/EC. Awarded by a customs authority in a European Union Member State, this status is of quite considerable significance, as it has only been achieved by a total of 138 businesses in Italy, most of which operate in the service sector, and this is the first time that A.E.O.F. status has been awarded to a company working in the papermaking industry.
A.E.O.F. status – the most important of the three voluntary forms of certification for which provision is made by European Union customs authorities – concerns both the customs reliability and the security of the data and of the processes involved in intra-Union trade. Fedrigoni Cartiere has obtained a significant acknowledgement of a long practice of complete compliance with customs obligations and with the criteria laid down for accounting systems and financial solvency, as well as with those of constant compliance with standards for safety in the workplace.
The advantages of achieving this recognition include simplification in customs procedures for safety checks and greater speed in intra-Union shipping.
