Fifteen Italian illustrators from the emerging underground scene were involved in the first stage of the travelling exhibition to develop a variety of lines of research into the topic of repeating one and the same module to infinity: the loop. They were asked to create works using the serigraphy method, in which the imperfections in the copies printed off the same matrix are not seen as flaws, but on the contrary as symbols of transformation and diversity. When shapes are subject to a change of identity, they become objects to be shared by the artists who are compared to one another. The result is a set of groups of visual information that will be used to construct a collective itinerary. The theme of the loop is developed by integrating three audiovisual installations that complete the picture, by means of other languages whose aim is unconsciously to stimulate members of the public and so also involve them in the whole experience as direct participants.
