Worlds of magic. The fantastic tales of an explorer of dreams
Several locations, Province of Grosseto Museums Network

Four exhibitions making up a major retrospective of Joan Miró’s graphic works are being hosted by the Province of Grosseto in the locations of the Maremma Archaeological and Art Museum in Grosseto, the A. Modigliani Civic Painting Collection in Follonica, the Orsini Fortress in Sorano and the Palazzo Nerucci Art Collection in Castel del Piano. Devised as both individual exhibitions and at the same time a sequence in which each part has to be capable of dialoguing with the others, the four shows feature some two hundred works of graphics and of book illustrations created by the great Catalan maestro: an across-the-board reading of the poetic world of one of the historical avant-gardes’ greatest leading lights. Timed to coincide with the cycle of exhibitions, the Province of Grosseto Museums Network is also organising a series of meetings, lectures, discussions, guided tours and workshops for the public.
