Continuing the cycle of “Comic Strip Territories” and following on the Angouleme Festival, the BPI has now come up with a meeting with Bastien Vivès, a chance to understand how the illustrator expresses himself and his creative approach.
Bastien Vivès, winner of the New Discovery Award in Angouleme in 2009 for his Goût du chlore (The Taste of Chlorine), is now preparing a new album, Le Maitre de danse (Dancing Master) for autumn. His forte is describing human feelings, every time using very innovative mise-en-scene and images. An illustrator who makes maximum use of graphics, he’s certainly an exponent of the new generation of comic strip authors.
